Melissa Huckaby, 28, is on suicide watch at the San Joaquin County Jail said Deputy Les Garcia on Saturday.Huckaby, a Sunday school teacher was arrested late Friday for the murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu.
Neighbors and former co-workers of Huckaby were shocked by the arrest and describe her as a quiet woman who kept to herself.
Carlos Martinez, a handyman at the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park where Huckaby lived with her two daughters and grandparents said, “They were a weird family. They didn’t speak with anyone.”
