Lori Petty To Get Five Years' Probation in DUI Case

People Mag.- Lori Petty, best known for her roles in Tank Girl and A League of Their Own, will plead no contest Friday to a misdemeanor DUI charge and serve five years' probation, according to a source close to the case.

Petty, 45, was arrested last May after hitting a 14-year-old skateboarder while driving in Venice, Calif. The boy's injuries were minor.

The actress will pay fines, receive outpatient treatment and attend AA meetings. A second DUI charge was dismissed as part of her plea deal.

Petty will not attend the hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court, but will be represented by her attorney, Blair Berk.

I guess I'm petty for pasting this "fight" I had via Facebook messaging...
But this girl errked me so badly...
All I did was send a news update message out, messaging it to all the members of my Caylee Anthony group, and she had nothing better to do than complain about it being a day old and annoying to her. She didn't understand my point, and kept messaging me back crazy crap, eventually turning vulgar, haha!

well i'm sorry, that i knew of this was newer information that i personally have not seen on any american news channels. i have not heard about it before, and i had to assume no one else in the group has- that's why i sent it. i sent one message which ISN'T spamming anyone.

Whats silly is that Nancy Grace is on eastern time so you actually wouldve known this before me out here in Cali and Im not the one sending "courtesy" info out on a blog that any normal person can watch on tv or read a ticker on world news all fucking day. Actress Lori Petty Arrested

People Mag: Actress Lori Petty, 45, was arrested Saturday night on felony drunk driving charges after hitting a 14-year-old skateboarder in Venice, Calif.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene of the accident at 9:30 p.m. The skateboarder was treated for his injuries and released.

Petty, who starred in Point Break, Tank Girl and A League of Their Own, was booked into the Van Nuys jail and eventually released on $100,000 bail.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said the circumstances surrounding the accident are still unclear. Detectives with the LAPD's traffic division will determine if a follow-up investigation is necessary. Petty's blood-alcohol level isn't being released at this time.

Calls to Petty's spokesman were not returned.
