The Infamous Lightning Shot

This is one sick picture that my cousin Patrick happened to capture!
I was telling him he couldn't time it well enough to capture a bolt, then BAM!

Video from that storm here:

The first video is actually hilarious with the way I respond to the scary-close lightning- check it out 10 seconds in!

Crazy Coincidences During My Jupiter, Florida Trip (3)

I've experienced three odd coincidences, which may only entertain me, but worth my writing about none-the-less!

[1] The day after arriving my cousins, one of their girlfriends, and I were talking about past Greenwich and other local teens who were killed in car accidents. A few hours later, I get a text from my friend Patrick in New London, letting me know the drummer in one of his bands was killed in an accident by a drunk driver. Another passenger, a mother, was killed as well.

[2] My uncle kept singing the damned Plain White Tees song, "1234" (There's only one thing, to do, three words, four you..). One night, his one and a half year old son was playing with my cell phone, and when I receive it back, I had a text message sent to my phone thanking me for purchasing a new ringtone! What ringtone was it? Plain White Tees.

[3] I was watching Nancy Grace with my cousin Mike's girlfriend, Cat, catching her up on a lot of details on the case. I mentioned the soap opera, One Tree Hill, and how Casey had supposedly been inspired from an older episode that aired months before her daughter was murdered, on Casey's own birthday. The episode involved a nanny kidnapping a child..
We flipped the channel off of Nancy Grace, and what was on? That very episode! AH!

On Hiatus For A Week

Tomorrow I'm headed off to beautiful Jupiter, Florida for a lovely week of basking in the sun and forgetting my troubles up here in Connecticut.
I wish I had someone to keep on my entries top of any interesting crime news or things I'd like to blo, but I'll just have to catch up to all my news when I return.

I hope all my followers (and you to random or anonymous readers out there) a safe and happy week!
... And happy Memorial Day! Let's keep in mind all those who have sacrificed for others.
