"Junk Science"

Casey Anthony's defense team responded to the new evidence by calling it one-sided "junk science."

Spokeswoman Marti Mackenzie said because the evidence was only inspected by law enforcement it is biased and unreliable.

"Both the duct tape and the bags that are mentioned in this discovery are extraordinarily common and can be found in just about any home or grocery store," she said.
Casey's defense points out that there were no finger prints on the duct tape that was found covering Caylee's mouth, and they dispute evidence that a heart shaped sticker was placed over the tape.

"They believe... that the Anthony case may one to set a precedent in exposing some of the flaws in evidence," Mackenzie said.
