Sheriff Jerry Demings says "we not going to lose cases because of loose lips,"on Friday. The Orange County agency has been linked to leaks in the Casey Anthony case. He is making it known that "If it's active criminal information, don't get caught leaking. If you get caught, it's going to get treated seriously."
In his 21-year career at the Orlando Police Department, Demings said he has never seen a case like Anthony's where active criminal information was reported public.
"It hurts the image of the agency if we compromise active criminal investigations," Demings tells his personnel "Don't be naive. We have reporters using and doing everything they can to get the story."
