Two Juveniles Rob and Rape 80 Year old Woman

Sickness!!
RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) - Two male juveniles are arrested after authorities say they broke into an 80-year-old woman's home, stole some property, and raped her.

It happened in the Trenholm Acres Subdivision around 9:00pm Tuesday night. "We really think they were just up to no good that day, and then it just got out of hand," says Richland County Deputy Monique Mack.

Deputies say the 14 and 15-year-olds broke into the woman's home and demanded money. "She gave them whatever they wanted," says Mack, "She was being very cooperative."

They say one of the teens was armed with a shotgun. The teens proceeded to vandalize the inside of the home and took some electronics, jewelry, and money before sexually assaulting the woman in a bedroom. They then fled on foot.

Sheriff Leon Lott says, "The acts committed in this incident were both vicious and were carried out with malicious intent." He claims he's never seen anything more devastating.

Deputies say the woman is out of the hospital. They say she's still recovering but is surrounded by family.

She was able to give a detailed description of the suspects, and deputies began questioning neighbors Wednesday morning about unusual activity. "At which time we had neighbors saying, 'Yeah, we saw two juveniles walking through. They looked like they were looking in and out of homes and saw some suspicious activity.'," says Mack. The sheriff's office says several individuals were able to identify the teens, who happened to live nearby.

Deputy Mack says your watchful eye can always help in cases like this. "We're in the holiday season," says Mack, "We're going to have students out for the next two weeks. If you see them doing something they shouldn't be doing, then give us a call. We'd rather go and address them than anyone else becoming a victim."

Both young men attend the Richland Two School District, but district officials aren't releasing what grade the boys are in. One of them was eventually located in the subdivision while the other was found at school. Both are in custody and being charged first-degree burglary, criminal sexual assault, kidnapping, and armed robbery. Sheriff Lott says right now the teens will be charged as juveniles, but investigators are working with the solicitor's office to decide if the teens should be charged as adults.

Teacher Accused of Having Sex Tapes and Explicit Pictures of Boys Will Stay In Jail

SALUDA, SC (WIS) - A 30 year Saluda County middle school teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a minor and possessing sexually explicit pictures of dozens of young boys who attended the school in the 1980's will stay in jail for the time being.

52-year-old Thomas Taylor of Saluda appeared in front of judge late Friday afternoon to answer to criminal sexual conduct in the 2nd degree and committing a lewd act on a minor under the age of 16. A Saluda County judge denied Taylor's bond.

Taylor told the judge he wasn't a flight risk. "I don't know how to live the rest of my life on the run," said Taylor. "I hope to be out to better put my affairs in order to get ready to fight this."

Taylor was arrested Wednesday afternoon after investigators found sex tapes and items used to whip people in a home he owned. Taylor is a teacher at Saluda Middle School. He's been suspended with pay pending an investigation, according Superintendent Dr. David Mathis.

Taylor was arrested Wednesday afternoon after investigators found sex tapes and items used to whip people in a home he owned. Taylor is a teacher at Saluda Middle School. He's been suspended with pay pending an investigation, according Superintendent Dr. David Mathis.

Saluda County Sheriff Jason Booth, flanked by his investigators and a representative from the 11th Circuit Solicitor's office, stood in front of the media Friday to talk about the case. "This is a very sad day for all of us in Saluda County. As sheriff, I'm taking this case seriously," said Booth. "It's not right what has happened here in Saluda."

Booth said his investigators stumbled upon sexually explicit pictures of approximately 100 young boys while investigating a separate case involving a 19-year-old man who lived in a home owned by Taylor.

While investigating the 19-year-old, deputies found the pictures investigators believe date back to the 80's. Investigators don't believe any of the pictures they seized are of current students.

Booth said the house was full of pictures of 10 to 14-year-old students at recess and playing sports. Booth said some of the pictures depict, "young boys' underwear hanging out of their shorts." The boys were clothed but, "it was obvious he was taking pictures of their buttocks and private parts," Booth said.

There were no girls in any of the pictures and they were all taken on school property, according to Booth.

In the collection of pictures there were images of nude boys getting whipped. Investigators don't believe any of the nude photos include any of Taylor's students.

Investigators also found sex tapes, whips, and straps at one of Thomas's homes," according to Booth. Booth said some of the tapes and DVD's showed young boys getting paddled by paddles and grown men's hands. "

Booth said a witness came forward Thursday evening and advised law enforcement that Taylor started an inappropriate relationship with him when he was 13-years-old. Booth said Taylor took the boy to places live Atlanta, Charlotte and Los Angeles. He is bringing in the FBI to assist with the investigation because the relationship was taken over state lines.

Booth believes there could be others who have been victimized by Taylor. "We have already received evidence that indicates there are multiple victims involved," said Booth. "We're going to interview many, many people in the next few weeks."

If this teacher touched you in any inappropriate ways over the years, please come forward," said Booth who added any current or former students who have information about Taylor or questions about the investigation should call or stop by the sheriff's office.

Authorities have set up a hotline and email address for those who think they may have victimized by Taylor. The phone number to call is: 1-800-414-2826 and the email address to use is: operationsnapshot1@hotmail.com

In Taylor's 30 years at the school, he's been a physical education teacher, a baseball coach and a yearbook photographer, according to the sheriff. He is currently employed as a 7th grade language arts teacher at the school.

FBI Puts Brazen Bandit's Face on Billboards

(To me, he kinda looks like that actor from the Dave Chappelle Show, lol)

(CNN) -- He has been captured by bank surveillance cameras in four states, sneering and holding a pistol sideways during heists.

Now authorities hope to catch the serial bank robber by plastering his image on electronic billboards throughout the South.

The FBI is searching for the suspect, who they say has robbed at least 10 banks in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

"This is a unique instance in which the subject in these bank robberies has not used a mask ... or any type of a gimmick," FBI agent Kevin Keithley said Tuesday in Johnson City, Tennessee. "It is really uncommon just to come into a bank and show his face like he has."

The brazen bandit has been captured in surveillance footage sporting the same close-cropped hairstyle and goatee in many of the holdups. He does not seem to make any effort to cover his face and sometimes is seen aiming a handgun sideways, showing his tattoos on both forearms as he gestures at bank employees.

The FBI has mapped the bank robber's path on a map that crisscrosses the southern United States.

The billboard that went up Monday roughly follows the path that bank robber took, the FBI said.

His odyssey has spanned more than 600 miles north, from Charleston, South Carolina, to Louisville, Kentucky, and about 500 miles east, from Knoxville, Tennessee, to Edenton, North Carolina.

The robberies started in May and the most recent one was last week in Tennessee, Keithley said.

The suspect has not yet harmed anybody in the robberies, but the FBI considers him extremely dangerous.

"This guy has made no effort to hide the gun," Keithley said . "He has threatened the use of it in every bank robbery that he has committed. He has put the gun in the faces of tellers, threatened to use the gun against them.... So certainly we need to get this guy in custody before he does harm someone."

The suspect is described as white, about 25 years old, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11, 170 to 175 pounds. He has short, reddish-brown hair and an unshaven goatee, the FBI said.

The bureau asks anybody who knows the bank robber to call 423-282-8090.

Mother Of 555-Pound Boy Stays In Jail

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- An Upstate mother accused of putting her 555-pound son in danger was back in court for a bond hearing Friday afternoon.

A judge denied a request to reduce Jerri Gray's $50,000 bond.

Gray's attorney, Grant Varner, spoke on his client's behalf. "If anything, she's guilty of loving her child too much. She did not want to lose her child and I can't honestly blame her," Varner said.

Gray has been charged with unlawful neglect toward a child and custodial interference, after investigators said she fled to Baltimore, Md., with her 555-pound son Alexander Draper to avoid a family court hearing on May 19th.

The 14-year-old was supposed to be taken into protective custody after officials determined that the teenager was considered to be at a critical stage of health risk.

"Supposedly her son has been gaining a half a pound a day. How and why - we can't really explain that. My client has asserted to me that it's not because of the food she feeds him. He eats a fairly balanced diet," Varner said.

But prosecutor Samantha Adair told the judge Gray had not complied with DSS guidelines to help her son.

"The victim even had a scholarship to attend a hospital in New Hampshire for which she refused to send her son," Adair said. "So DSS has a completely different story that she's been very non-compliant with their program."

The judge felt Gray was a flight risk again and refused to lower the bond.

Alexander is in foster care through DSS, but Gray's attorney said he'll try to have him placed with family.

Authorities Arrest Mom For Medical Neglect of 555-Pound Teen

(CNN) -- South Carolina authorities have located a 555-pound teenager and his mother, who faces a charge of violating a custody order, police said Thursday.

Alexander Deundray Draper, 14, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, and his mother, Jerri Althea Gray, were located at about 4:30 p.m. near a laundromat in Baltimore, Maryland, by the Baltimore County Sheriff's Office, said Matt Armstrong, a spokesman for the Greenville County Sheriff's Office in Greenville, South Carolina.

"Draper was checked out by EMS [Emergency Medical Services] personnel and turned over to the Maryland Department of Social Services," Armstrong said.

The South Carolina Department of Social Services will work with its Maryland counterpart to have the boy returned to South Carolina, he told CNN affiliate WYFF.

The mother is being held in a detention center and will be extradited to South Carolina on an outstanding warrant, he said.

"The understanding was that the individual was of the weight where it was decided by medical authorities that he needed treatment that was not being provided for by his mother," Armstrong said.

Earlier in the day officials said the boy "is possibly at a stage of critical health risk."

Gray was supposed to appear in family court Tuesday with her son and failed to do so, the sheriff's office said. During the family court hearing, the boy was ordered into state custody because of medical neglect, as well as his mother's failure to appear. The Department of Social Services then contacted the sheriff's office, authorities said.

The warrant said Gray was served with papers Monday and told to report to court for a hearing in which the department would seek state custody of Draper. "The defendant has avoided the custody proceeding and has concealed the child," the warrant says.

Travelers Rest is about 10 miles north of Greenville, South Carolina

Person of Interest In Britanee Drexel Case

Britanee Drexel is the 17-year-old Rochester-area high school student, that just "disappeared" while on spring break in Myrtle Beach, and was given some air time last night on The Nancy Grace show.

What we know:
Britanee was told by her mother that she could not go to Myrtle Beach for spring break but she went anyway. Friday night she went out with friends in Myrtle beach then met up with them again the next day at the beach. Saturday night she was with friends at one hotel then walked to meet Peter Broswick at about 8 p.m.. Peter Broswick claims that she then left his hotel room alone later that night.

What is being reported:
Last night on Nancy Grace we heard from John Hahn, friend of Britanee, that Peter's story changed a couple of times and that it just didn't add up. He reported that Peter claimed to have just left at 2 a.m. in the morning because he said he needed to get back to school. He also left without picking up his 100$ deposit from the hotel.

Let's see here, last to see her, now she's missing, packs up his things in the middle of the night and hightails it home at 2a.m. . Now after changing his story a couple of times he's lawyer'd up and not talking.

Here's a picture of Peter Brozowitz:

Reported Sighting of Brittanee Drexel

Wednesday morning, maids on a county bus in Myrtle Beach reported seeing a girl fitting the description of Drexel getting off a bus on North Ocean Boulevard. This is the same area where she was last seen.

Police showed the women a picture of Drexel and they identified her as the girl on the bus.

Officers canvassed the area searching for Drexel and remain in the area completing an intensive search, but she still hasn't been found.

Drexel, 17, was reported missing early Sunday while visiting the area.

Pajama-Clad Toddlers Ransack Neighbor's Home

"Boys Eat Snacks, Empty Drawers, Mess Up House"

Kind of a lame article, but I thought it was cute and funny, none-the-less. I can see Kaitlyn doing this- but we never let her out of our sight.

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Two young brothers caused an uproar in Anderson Friday morning when they wandered away from their home and into a neighbor’s home.

Neighbors and public safety officers launched an intense search after John and Matthew Farrar disappeared from their home.

The boy’s mother called to report the 2- and 3-year-olds missing at about 9:45 a.m.

About 100 city and county emergency workers scrambled into the neighborhood to search for the boys. Little did they know that the toddlers were next door in the home of a sleeping neighbor, playing out their own version of Goldilocks gone bad.

Angie Lovorn was sound asleep on the other side of the house after working a third shift and said she had no idea the boys were in her house.

"I would have right away looked through my house if I’d known they were missing," Lovorn said.

But she didn’t know. And while she slept, the toddlers ransacked her cupboards, munching on Teddy Grahams, marshmallows and chips.

Lovorn finally awoke and saw the emergency workers outside her home at about the same time searchers spotted the boys coming out her back door.

One of the brothers was wearing a Clemson University football helmet that belongs to Lovorn’s son.

“They even got on the top bunk," Lovorn said. "These items -- stuffed animals -- were on the top bunk."

From the looks of the house, the boys enjoyed their visit.

"They played for a while, I think," Lovorn said.

The wandering toddlers are the youngest of four brothers in their family.
