Authorities said Bledsoe was driving drunk in September 2006 when his Chevrolet Suburban clipped another Suburban carrying a mother, a father, the couple's two young sons and the boys' grandparents. The Suburban carrying the family went out of control and crashed into a tree on Highway 70 south of Marysville.
The victims were Thomas Negrete, 29; Maribel Negrete, 29; Eric Negrete, 3; Cesar Negrete, 6 months; Jose Raya Quintana, 65; and Maria Raya, 63. They were all wearing seat belts.
Bledsoe was driving without a license and insurance at the time of the wreck.
