DENVER -- A Denver jury found a former gay porn star accused of killing one of his clients guilty of first-degree murder, authorities said Monday.
Timothy John Boham was also found guilty on charges of first-degree murder after deliberation and aggravated robbery, said Lynn Kimbrough of the Denver District Attorney's Office.
Boham killed a wealthy businessman, John Paul Kelso, who hired Boham for sexual services in 2006.
During the trial Boham had said the victim shot himself because he was depressed over failed relationships.
Boham is a 28-year-old former porn actor who was working as a gay escort. He also once worked for Kelso, who owned a debt-collection agency before his death in November of 2006.
Prosecutors said Boham tried to rob Kelso and shot Kelso when he refused to open his safe.
Boham faces life in prison without parole when he appears for sentencing on Tuesday.
