WABASH, Ind. -- Skeletal remains found last month in Miami County were identified as belonging to a teen who was reported missing three years ago.
The adoptive parents of Jorden Aryne Sopher reported her missing from Wabash in May 2006, when she was 17.
Sopher's remains were found in May 2009 in Miami County, Wabash Police Chief Charles Smith said.
The remains were sent to the University of Indianapolis, where positive identification was made in late May based on dental records.
Police are not sure what led to Sopher's death. Indiana State Police are investigating. Anyone with information can call 800-382-0689.
