The ongoing search continued for Sandra Cantu this afternoon.
Hundreads of residences came out to volunteer by handing out flyers and knocking on doors. The groups included teachers, business owners, bikers, families with children and even 81 year old, Wallacea Lois, who volunteered by meeting at the old fire station at 7700 W. Linne Road.
I'm touched that they would care so much about Sandra, Tracy police spokesman Lt. Jeremy Watney said. It's very heartwarming to see them all out there.
Tim Heinrich of Tracy's Community Emergency Response Team is coordinating all volunteer efforts in the search. To print and distribute fliers in you can click here.
Tracy Police Department released the surveillance video of Sandra Cantu. The footage shows the young girl skipping along March 27, 2009 around 4pm. (video below includes both clean-up and raw clips)
